We want to help pet parents provide the best for their pet family members.

The idea for WidgPet began in 2018 when Penelope (aka Pen, Pen-Pen, Pen-Apple, Penster, Pen-a-Licious) the cat was adopted. Pen was born with genetic mutations that cause her to have brittle bones. As we strive to keep her healthy and happy, we track various information about her health on a regular basis. We quickly discovered there was no single solution to do this. Instead, we found ourselves with information entered in several apps on our phones, a website, and some online documents. Not a convenient solution.

Fast forward to 2021 where Pen continues to thrive and live her best kitty life. After trying to organize information from a series of vet appointments plus obtaining results from additional medical testing, we then exclaimed, "There has to be a better solution than this!", and decided it was time to do something. And because things are always better with friends, we partnered with a long-time friend that had some exciting technology that enabled us to bring WidgPet to life.
